Alta Waverly

Having called Alta Waverly home for the past 8 months, I am grateful for the outstanding dedication of the team here. Faze, Christian, and Jose have consistently exceeded expectations in addressing our concerns. Specifically, Jose, our maintenance technician, he maintains a high level of professionalism and meticulous attention to detail when resolving issues. His commitment goes beyond technical expertise, as he consistently fosters a sense of community, turning Alta into a warm and inviting home for all residents. A heartfelt thanks to the entire team here at Alta! I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in search of their new home in Oakland :)

My experience living at the Alta Waverly has been nothing but positive. Having lived here for 7 months, I'm happy to be a part of such a friendly and welcoming community. All of the staff I've had the pleasure of interacting with have been extremely kind, polite and helpful - especially Jose who has gone above and beyond on multiple occasions. I would highly recommend living here to anyone new to the area.

Since moving into the Alta Waverly, I have been consistently impressed by the level of professionalism, efficiency and dedication displayed by each team member who works here, especially the maintenance crew. Jose has always gone above and beyond to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become major issues. His professionalism and excellent customer service skills have not gone unnoticed and makes him an invaluable asset to the building. Big thanks to him and the rest of the crew!

(This review is for a tour and first impressions, not a tenant experience). I was shopping around for a place to live downtown and Faze was really helpful during our tour. He was a great listener, helpful, and honest yet professional. While my decision is still being made about where to live, I was impressed by how responsive management seems to be, as well as how the well-kept and approachable the common areas are!

We've lived in Alta Waverly the last two years and have had the best experience. From the prompt responses to our maintenance requests to the overall friendly, kind, and professional demeanor from the Alta Waverly team, they are always going above and beyond to make living here comfortable and enjoyable. Meshana truly cares for each of the tenants at Alta Waverly and approaches any concerns or issues with incredible empathy. It's reassuring to know that we have such a reliable team overseeing our property.

My boyfriend and I have been living here since beginning of September and we absolutely love it here. Take my word for it— this place is worth touring if you are looking for a new place to call home. If you decide to sign a lease a) welcome! b) you won’t regret it 🤗 See my long winded explanation below of a handful of reasons our experience living at Alta Waverly thus far has been incredible. 1) The leasing/management staff have been exceptional. They are professional yet genuine, kind, and friendly. They were neither pushy nor arrogant which is what we found to be the case at other places we toured or spoke to. And since moving in they’ve treated us like family are helpful and communicative. 2) We looked into a ton of places all over Oakland and Alta Waverly by far offers some of the most thoughtful and unique amenities. I’ve listed only some of the ones that stand out most to us: - DIY makers space by far is my favorite part (somewhere you can do woodworking, arts & crafts, and just make a mess). - 24 hour gym with equipment we hadn’t seen in other apartment gyms like a rower, StairMaster, plyo boxes, large range of free weights, etc. - Two resident lounge areas (2nd floor and rooftop). Beautiful urban oasis landscaping, grills, fire pits, indoor/outdoor lounging areas, dog run, community garden, etc. - Controlled access and nightly security - Fun assortment of Community Events - Gated access parking garage - Coffee and hot drink bar - Package room for the gazillion amazon orders that get delivered to us 3) All of the neighbors we’ve met are friendly and respectful. 4) Unbelievably dog friendly. Our chiweenie has made so many friends of all sizes here. 5) Lake Merritt is 2 blocks away and there are plenty of places to go and things to do all within walking distance. We’ve had a blast walking around the area and exploring. 6) It’s a safe area - To go to work I use public transportation- I walk to the Bart (7 min) around 5:30am and come back around 8:30pm and I feel safe. ... I could honestly keep going but these were just the first few off the top of my head.

This is one of the best locations to live in Oakland. First, you're right next to a ton of great food options: Todos, Calabash, LowBar, Mama's Boy, Edith's Pie, Lovely's, and more. Whole Foods is just a short walk away. More importantly, the building management is outstanding. They truly care about creating a community within the building. Maintenance is timely, responsive, and professional. Meshana and team work hard to keep us informed whenever there is a temporary problem or local event happening nearby. I can't overstate how much this contributes to people caring about their neighbors and the property. We have the best property manager in Oakland! Lastly, the building itself it great as well. Apartments have a modern look and feel, the rooftop is furnished and maintained, and the building is always clean. The gym is excellent and open 24/7. A/C and heat work as expected. Elevators always work, there's never been a problem with extended outages of power or water; I feel safe knowing the building is up to date and any potential problems are proactively dealt with. I absolutely recommend moving here.
